So this author is really good at writing depressing fictional books about being stuck in life in a dead end job. This book expounds on that and it shows that even if you hate your job, you turn into a person who just talks about hating their job and that no one wants to spend time with.
But what's also depressing is that the author is like 20 years old and she's a successful writer and probably never has to work!!!
Page 26: "I've looked, and I usually end up feeling pretty underwhelmed and underqualified for all of the interesting jobs, and then I have a thought spiral, and then I feel like I made a bad move somewhere back in middles school, and then I feel like there's no hope at all for me and then I contemplate suicide."
Page 38: "Everything about her life was so much the same from day to day that it almost didn't exist."
Page 62: "You are unbelievably draining, you self-serving, shallow, talentless waste of time."
